Friday, April 16, 2004 Someone told me today: "You work very hard. But you know, in Europe people get off work at noon on Fridays. Only half a day. They generally don't work as hard and they have more time to think about other things. Here, people work a lot and they don't have time to think about anything." I resent the implication that I'm not well-rounded because at work, all I talk about is research. I don't talk about the other things I do in my free time at work because I don't feel like other people really care about it. Nobody really cares about what I do or what I think about.
